Civil Protection. Organization of the new system of universal security

One of the key challenges facing Poland’s national security system is the condition of its non-military security subsystem.

🧩 Civil protection systems — understood as public safety systems — comprise institutions responsible for protecting people’s lives and health, as well as property and the environment. These include Civil Defence, Crisis Management, the National Firefighting and Rescue System, the Emergency Notification System, and the State Emergency Medical Services.

🚩 It should be noted that law enforcement and public order services constitute separate non-military security systems. Their role is to protect society against unlawful acts. These include, among others, the Police, the Border Guard, special services, the Military Gendarmerie, the State Protection Service, various administrative police bodies, the Trade Inspection Authority, the Veterinary Inspection, the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspectorate, the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, the State Sanitary Inspection, the Customs and Tax Service, and others.
