Biography

Socjolożka, której praca koncentruje się na społecznej perspektywie zmieniającego się systemu energetycznego i środowiskowego. Od 2012 roku pracuje jako ekspertka i badaczka w interdyscyplinarnych projektach dotyczących społecznych wymiarów transformacji energetycznej i ocenie technologii, przemianach społeczno-kulturowych, deliberacji publicznej, inkluzywnym kształtowaniu polityki i sprawiedliwości energetycznej.

She has participated in research on large-scale decarbonization projects, including nuclear power plants, geothermal energy, CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage), and hydrogen technologies. She has conducted research visits to the University of Cambridge (CEDAR team), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala University, and the University of Northampton in the United Kingdom; She collaborates with the Center for Research on Energy and Environmental Challenges at Adam Mickiewicz University. Since 2003, she has been collaborating with the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, where she teaches a course on social conflicts and negotiations in environmental protection. From 2024 to 2025, she led a social research team on energy transition at Łukasiewicz–ITECH. She currently coordinates the work of the team working on the “Energy Transition Barometer.”

In addition to her research and applied work, she was also involved in developing courses and new teaching methods related to climate education (in line with the Sustainable Development Goals).

From 2016 to 2021, she led interdisciplinary projects on education for sustainable development in higher education at Collegium Civitas (master’s and bachelor’s degree programs, as well as MBA programs). She is also a member of the Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education Task Force at the Ministry of Climate and Environment (since 2024). She is the author of over 40 publications in academic journals.

Research areas: the social dimensions of the energy transition, environmental democracy, energy justice, and inclusive public policy-making
