Katarzyna Iwinska – sociologist, whose work focuses on the social perspective of the changing energy and environmental system. Since 2024 she has led a team of social research on energy transition at Lukasiewicz – ITECH (Institute of Innovation and Technology). Since 2012, she has worked on large-scale decarbonization projects, including nuclear power plants, geothermal energy, CCS(Carbon Capture and Storage) and hydrogen technologies. She has held research appointments at the University of Cambridge (CEDAR team), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) and Uppsala University, and the University of Northampton in the UK; and is working with the Center for Energy Research and Environmental Challenges at Adam Mickiewicz University. Since 2003, she has been working at Collegium Civitas (now University Civitas) and cooperates with the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at Warsaw University of Technology, where she teaches a course on social conflicts and negotiations in environmental protection. She is also a member of the Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education Team at the Ministry of Climate and Environment (since 2024).
