We are pleased to present our latest report summarizing 12 months of activity at Łukasiewicz – ITECH and outlining our plans for the remainder of the year. The publication highlights the Institute’s progress in its transformation into a modern think tank and showcases the key projects, achievements, and initiatives that are strengthening our position as a leading research and analytical centre.
A Year of Change: Building a New Role for the Institute
The past few months have been a period of intensive change and consistent transformation for Łukasiewicz – ITECH. Our ambition is to become one of Poland’s leading research and analytical centres, providing knowledge, insights, and recommendations in areas of strategic importance to the country’s development. We focus on issues that are crucial for the entire Łukasiewicz Research Network, including defence, technological sovereignty, the energy transition, and the development of the innovation ecosystem. In this report, we present our most significant activities in these areas, key achievements, and projects carried out by our experts. We also highlight our international partners, whose collaboration helps strengthen the Institute’s position within the European research and expert community. The publication includes an overview of the latest reports, analyses, and commentaries prepared by our teams, as well as a summary of the key events and discussion series launched in recent months.
Ambitious Plans for the Months Ahead
The report also outlines the future directions for the development of Łukasiewicz – ITECH. By the end of the year, we plan to publish a series of reports, policy papers, and expert commentaries addressing the most pressing technological, economic, and geopolitical challenges.
We will continue to expand our strategic programmes, including the European Programme and the Asian Programme, further strengthening the Institute’s analytical capabilities in areas that are critical to economic competitiveness, security, and Poland’s position in an evolving international environment.
We will also continue to develop the events and dialogue platforms initiated by the Institute, creating opportunities for collaboration between academia, industry, and public administration. Among the key initiatives planned for the remainder of the year are: Łukasiewicz – ITECH Annual Conference “Security for Prosperity”, to be held on 14 October, as well as Horizon4Poland, Horizon4Poland, scheduled for 3 November. These events are an integral part of our mission to support informed debate on security, innovation, and Poland’s economic development.
