We are pleased to announce the signing of a Letter of Intent for Cooperation between our institute, Łukasiewicz – ITECH, and the Polish Economic Institute (PIE). The agreement, signed on 3 September, formally confirms a relationship that has been steadily developed over recent months. The two organizations have already collaborated on research and analytical projects, participated in each other’s events, and engaged in activities supporting innovation development and knowledge transfer. The new agreement establishes a framework for even closer cooperation aimed at fostering the growth of the Polish economy, entrepreneurship, and technological as well as social innovation.
A Partnership for Economic Development and Innovation
Under the partnership, Łukasiewicz – ITECH and the Polish Economic Institute (PIE) will expand their cooperation in, among others, the following areas:
- implementation of research and development projects, as well as the preparation of recommendations for public policies,
- creation and promotion of reports, analyses, and expert publications,
- organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience,
- activities related to security, energy transition, and technological innovation,
- commercialization of knowledge and technologies,
- development of the competencies of experts and teams from both institutions.
The partnership is intended to help combine the research, expert, and organizational capabilities of both institutions more effectively and to support initiatives addressing the most pressing economic and social challenges. The cooperation will be coordinated by Paweł Marczewski, Director of the Strategy and Analysis Department at Łukasiewicz – ITECH, and Marek Wąsiński, Head of the Global Economy Team at the Polish Economic Institute (PIE).
