In the current social, cultural and political realities, where technology is an integral part of our lives, it is important that we understand and apply ethical principles to all areas of innovation. The Ethics by Design conference focuses on promoting discussion and action to shape a future based on safe, ethical social and technological innovations.

Nonetheless the values, principles and requirements included in these documents are only the first step to operationalize technology’s governance. For ethical and legal requirements to be effectively put to work, further practical steps are necessary.
