February 17, 2026. at Auditorium Maximum Jagiellonian University in Krakow held a nationwide event “Science for Society and the Economy. Public funding of research and innovation in Poland” , dedicated to the system of support for research, technology development and cooperation between science, public administration and business.
The meeting was attended by PhD Sc. Eng. Natalia Ziemiańska – chief research officer at the Center for Analysis and Technology Development Lukasiewicz – ITECH.
The event brought together representatives of key institutions of the system of financing science and innovation in Poland, including Foundation for Polish Science, National Science Center, National Center for Research and Development, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, Medical Research Agency and PFR Ventures.
Discussions focused on strategic directions for research funding, innovation development and strengthening cooperation between public institutions, the scientific community and the economy.
