“The Old Continent has shaped the world’s past. It can still shape its future,” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski concluded his speech at the European University Institute in Florence with these words.
In a speech titled “Sources of Europe’s Strength,” the minister outlined the fundamental choice facing Europe: between fragmentation and deeper cooperation in the face of mounting geopolitical tensions.
Particularly relevant from a Lukasiewicz-ITECH perspective was the technological theme – the minister pointed out that properly managed defense investments can stimulate innovation, create high-quality jobs and strengthen the continent’s technological potential.
The speech was followed by a discussion moderated by the prof. Monika Sus i Dr. Michal Matlak, Director Lukasiewicz – ITECH, co-founders of the EU Security Initiative.
