Hydrogen has significant potential of becoming an important low-emission medium with wide-ranging applications that benefit society, such as on energy and private and public transportation. It may significantly impact the decarbonisation of the Polish economy and initiate large-scale installation and implementation or modification of technologies such as hydrogen vehicles, hydrogen vehicle chargers, energy storage, pipelines, and liquid fuel distribution facilities.
We anticipate the following uses for society: increased awareness of hydrogen technologies, increased acceptance of technology transition, support of state activities for the purpose of promoting ecological solutions and energy transition, and long-lasting awareness of the benefits resulting from the dissemination of hydrogen technology.

Project : Popularizing hydrogen in society (popH2society)
Implementation period: 01.12.23-31.12.24
The aim of the “PopH2Society” project is to raise awareness and disseminate knowledge about hydrogen technologies among a wide range of social groups and across different regions of Poland, while laying the foundations for their socially responsible development.
Hydrogen technologies and the hydrogen economy are still at an early stage of development and implementation. However, as Poland’s experience with nuclear energy and shale gas has shown, public acceptance of new technologies may prove to be a key factor in their successful integration into the social and economic fabric.
