Polish Basalt Technologies Cluster Expands Its Partnership Network and Explores New Project Opportunities
M.U.S. Joins the Cluster
The Cluster recently welcomed a new member, M.U.S., and has begun work with the company on a joint research and development project aimed at developing an innovative solution to support plant growth. M.U.S. develops natural solutions for agriculture and horticulture, focusing on technologies that support plants and soil while promoting the sustainable use of resources.
The company’s membership in the Cluster opens up new opportunities for collaboration at the intersection of materials technologies, environmentally friendly solutions and practical applications in agri and horticulture.
At the same time, discussions were held with other businesses and research institutions on potential cooperation in the areas of specialist materials, surface technologies and the transition of projects from the research phase to implementation. These activities are expanding the Cluster’s network and laying the groundwork for future commercial, scientific and technological initiatives.
The Cluster at the Warsaw Defence Fair
On 19–20 June, the Cluster was represented at the Warsaw Defence Fair, a major industry event dedicated to security and defence technologies. Its participation provided an opportunity to showcase the Cluster’s potential and its members’ expertise in the defence and security sectors, advanced materials technologies and solutions supporting industrial modernisation.
The discussions focused on identifying organisations interested in collaboration, particularly in the areas of advanced manufacturing technologies, high-performance materials and solutions supporting the development of defence capabilities. Participation in the event also provided an opportunity to gain insight into current market trends and identify potential directions for further cooperation within the Cluster.
Participation in the “Horyzont Możliwości 2026” Event
On 17 June, the Cluster took part in the “Horyzont Możliwości 2026” event, organised by the Pomerania Development Agency Co. The event focused on funding innovation under the Horizon Europe programme and provided an important platform for representing the Cluster among businesses and institutions active in the field of Industry 4.0.
The matchmaking and networking session was particularly valuable, providing opportunities to connect with organisations interested in project-based collaboration and the exchange of expertise in automation, digitalisation and industrial technology development. Participation in the event also supported the Cluster’s efforts to identify EU funding opportunities for innovation and initiate new research and development projects.
Participation in the “How Can Poland Strengthen Its Innovation Ecosystem?” Meeting
On 30 June, representatives of the Cluster attended the expert breakfast “How Can Poland Strengthen Its Innovation Ecosystem?”, which brought together representatives of universities, public administration, expert institutions and the business community, including organisations active in the areas of local content and the space sector.
The event provided a platform to showcase the Cluster as a bridge between academia, business and public institutions. Discussions on R&D funding, commercialisation and strengthening Poland’s technological capacity offered a natural context for presenting the Cluster’s activities, building new relationships and identifying partners interested in project-based collaboration. Participation in the meeting enhanced the Cluster’s visibility and strengthened its position within both the national and international innovation ecosystems.
Mapping the Needs of Cluster Members
The Polish Basalt Technologies Cluster is currently assessing the needs of its members, particularly in relation to support with identifying funding opportunities, building partnerships and developing new project initiatives. The aim is to better align the Cluster’s activities with the actual needs of companies, research institutions and technology partners.
We encourage Cluster members to get actively involved by sharing their needs, project ideas and the areas in which the Cluster’s support could be particularly valuable. This will help us develop joint activities more effectively, strengthen the cooperation network and create projects that respond to the needs of the market, industry and the public sector.
