Szymon Wiktorowicz, PhD

He holds a PhD in polymer chemistry from the University of Helsinki, where he graduated with distinction, as well as a Master’s degree in chemistry from Jagiellonian University. He brings extensive international and interdisciplinary experience spanning scientific research, the management of strategic innovation programmes, innovation ecosystem advisory, European project development, consortium building, and the creation of new initiatives connecting science, business and communication, including science documentary series.

He gained experience at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Max Planck Institute, University of Calgary and University of Helsinki, among others. At Wiley-VCH, he was scientific editor of the prestigious journal Advanced Materials with IF = 30, and also led the Advanced Science News platform and the development of video formats to promote authors. His practice also includes spin-off incubation and acceleration processes, as well as day-to-day collaboration with the business and startup community, including as co-founder of Synbio Powerlabs, Labartory and others.
