Prof. Dr. Jacek Sroka

Prof. Dr. Jacek Sroka – graduate of the University of Wroclaw, political scientist, full professor, specializing in issues of public policies, public management and co-determination. Scholarship holder of programs: NATO-OTAN Fellowship, Jean-Monnet and TEMPUS (at the University of Vienna, under the scientific supervision of Prof. Georg Winckler). As a manager and contractor, he participated in 22 national and international research projects. He was a long-time expert of the Dublin-based European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions.

Author of national and international scientific and analytical studies, including: 5 authored monographs, 11 co-authored monographs, 3 edited monographs, 7 co-edited monographs, 147 articles and chapters, as well as more than 60 expert papers and about 20 popular science texts. He has held a number of research internships, including in Ankara, Berlin, Brno, Donetsk, Dresden, Geneva, Lisbon, Ljubljana, Vienna, Vilnius, Wuppertal. He has cooperated with national and foreign governmental and local government units, national and foreign research institutes, as well as NGOs, trade unions, employers’ organizations. Winner of university awards and one ministerial award. He has held and continues to hold academic positions, including those related to the evaluation of scientific activities.

krzysztof nędzyński

Krzysztof Nędzynski holds a master’s degree in political science and philosophy. His main research field is regulatory economics. He combines economic, political science and humanistic approaches to better understand decision-making processes. His research interests focus on the analysis of public policies, decision-making mechanisms and the impact of institutional arrangements on the economy. Industry specialties include housing economics and distributed energy. He is the leader of a research project on housing affordability. He also works on the economics of innovation.

alan żukowski

Alan Żukowski – a graduate of law and international relations, and a doctoral student in legal sciences at the University of Wroclaw. He gained professional experience in Polish and international teams and research initiatives – both in academic institutions and non-governmental organizations.
His research interests include grassroots mobilization of social forces for transformative research on strategic climate lithigation, political sociology of the future, ethics of research processes, and socio-legal research on challenges to European integration in the face of current social crises (e.g., climate, COVID-19, migration, and rule of law).
Among his areas of specialization are the development of research theoretical and methodological frameworks, the design of research tools, the collection, organization and analysis of qualitative data, and the conduct of social (meta)evaluative research.
He has (co-)authored more than a dozen scientific papers published by recognized journals and publishers – including those with international reach. In 2021, he was awarded the Minister’s Scholarship for significant scientific achievements.

Prof. Dr. Jacek Wojnicki – a graduate of the University of Warsaw, political scientist, titular professor, specializing in issues of public policies, political systems and public administration (primarily local government). He was an expert of the Jerzy Regulski Foundation for the Development of Local Democracy, the National Institute of Local Government. Experience in public administration: Chancellery of the Sejm and the Capital City Hall. Author of domestic and foreign scientific and analytical studies, including: more than 20 author monographs, 4 co-authored monographs, 7 edited monographs, 7 co-edited monographs, more than 150 articles and chapters, as well as more than a dozen expert studies and about a dozen popular science texts. He has held a number of research internships and study visits, including to Taipei, Chengdu, Banska Bystrica, Brno, Zagreb, Györ, Pecsu, Belgrade, Ljubljana, Skopje, Ottawa, Klaipeda. He has cooperated with national and foreign governmental and local government entities. Winner of university awards. He has held and continues to hold academic positions, including head of the Department of Political Systems.

DR HAB. KRZYSZTOF CHACZKO

Chief research specialist in the Public Policy Department. He received his master’s degree in political science from the University of Zielona Gora, his doctoral degree from the University of Wroclaw, and his postdoctoral degree from the University of the Commission of National Education in Krakow. He is engaged in the development of social policy as a sector of public policies. In particular, issues of social security provided using instruments in the form of social benefits (social services and cash benefits). He has participated, among others, in projects studying the process of development of deinstitutionalization of social services. Member of the Central Examination Commission for the degrees of professional specialization of social workers operating under the Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy (term 2022-2027) and the Board of the Polish Social Policy Association. Editor-in-chief of the journal Social News.
