Date: March 31 – April 1
Location: University in L’Aquila, Rome
At the end of March, partners of the CRESTIMB project gathered in L’Aquila, Italy, for a two-day Consortium Meeting hosted by the University of L’Aquila. The meeting provided an excellent opportunity for in-depth discussions, knowledge exchange, and coordination of the next steps within the project.
Over two intensive days, participants reviewed the current progress of project activities, discussed ongoing research results, agreed on further actions, and identified priorities for the upcoming phase of the project.
A particularly valuable part of the program was the meeting with representatives of UNSW Sydney, who presented the outcomes of their research conducted within the project. The agenda was further enriched by an inspiring presentation by Janusch Töpler, which became a starting point for further substantive discussions.
The program also included a “field” component, with visits to the laboratories of the University of L’Aquila, including an exceptionally interesting seismic testing laboratory. This direct exposure to research infrastructure allowed participants to gain a better understanding of the research context and its practical applications.
Once again, the meeting highlighted the importance of direct international collaboration and face-to-face knowledge exchange. Participants return with renewed energy, new ideas, and a clearly defined direction for further activities.
We would like to thank Università degli Studi dell’Aquila for the invitation and warm hospitality, as well as all CRESTIMB project partners for their commitment and fruitful, high-quality discussions.
