Dr. Ewa Kawiak-Jawor

Ewa Kawiak-Jawor holds a PhD in health sciences and an MA in sociology. She specializes in the social assessment of technology. She leads the research team at the Łukasiewicz – ITECH Social Innovation Department. She conducts interdisciplinary projects on the implementation of technology in health. Her research combines quantitative and qualitative methods, focusing on the social impact of innovation and the responsibility of science. A data analysis specialist, she specializes in statistics in scientific research, particularly in the area of ​​public health.

Dr. Katarzyna Iwińska

Katarzyna Iwińska is a sociologist whose work focuses on the social perspective of the changing energy and environmental systems. Since 2024, she has led a team of social researchers on energy transition at Łukasiewicz – ITECH (Institute of Innovation and Technology). Since 2012, she has worked on projects involving large-scale decarbonization projects, including nuclear power plants, geothermal energy, CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage), and hydrogen technologies. She has held visiting research visits to the University of Cambridge (CEDAR team), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Uppsala University, and the University of Northampton in the UK; she collaborates with the Centre for Energy and Environmental Challenges Research at Adam Mickiewicz University. Since 2003, she has worked at Collegium Civitas (now Civitas University) and collaborates with the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology, where she teaches a course on social conflicts and negotiations in environmental protection. She is also a member of the Team for the Strategic Action Plan for Environmental Education at the Ministry of Climate and Environment (from 2024).

Joanna Grudowska

Joanna Grudowska is a sociologist and doctoral candidate at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. She has experience in the public and private sectors, NGOs, and at their intersections. Her research interests lie at the intersection of technology and society, as well as energy transition. She is a project manager and investigator. She has conducted research projects on topics including smog controversies, foresight, hydrogen technologies, and scientific dissemination.

Patrycja Didyk is a psychologist and doctoral candidate at the Doctoral School of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Lublin. At Łukasiewicz-ITECH, she works in the Social Innovation Department, where she leads projects on the social impact of modern technologies. Her activities include designing and implementing social research, analyzing strategic and scientific documents, developing statistical analyses, and co-authoring scientific publications. She also co-leads workshops as part of the Institute’s Living Laboratory, supporting innovation co-creation processes involving diverse stakeholder groups.

Dr. Oleg Dietkov

He holds a PhD in social sciences and graduated from the IFiS PAN doctoral school in Warsaw. His main areas of interest, in addition to the social aspects of energy transition, include internet research, including social movements and the impact of games on online social groups, as well as game ontology. He is also interested in social trust and civil society. He currently specializes in data analysis and quantitative research.
