His research and analytical interests focus on issues of social cohesion and resilience, particularly from a socioeconomic perspective, issues of political demography, and the internal and external factors that determine cooperation and conflict between the state and civil society organizations.<\/p>\n
He is a member of the Civic Research Network, an expert group of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He co-founded the Ideas Forum, a think tank of the Batory Foundation. He was director of publications at the Institute of Human Sciences in Vienna and assistant professor at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Warsaw, where he previously received his PhD in sociology. He is a Visiting fellow<\/em> at Katolieke Universiteit in Leuven, Indiana University Bloomington, Center for Advanced Study in Sofia, and Marcin Kr\u00f3l Fellow 2022\/2023 at Visegrad Insight. <\/p>\n He combines research and analytical activity with popularization and journalistic activity, and is a regular contributor to Tygodnik Powszechny and Pismo magazine, and has also published in Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, Res Publica Nowa, Przegl\u0105d Polityczny, The Nation, Visegrad Insight, Eurozine and Public Seminar, among others. <\/p>\n Research Areas<\/strong>: Safety and Social Resilience<\/p>\n Publications:<\/p>\n\n
