An expert seminar entitled \u201cPoland\u2013India: Economy, Science, Technology and International Relations\u201d is currently taking place at the University of Warsaw. The event is co-organised by \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 ITECH, the University of Warsaw\u2019s Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, and the Centre for International Relations, and is dedicated to developing recommendations for the Polish public administration.<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The discussion focuses primarily on identifying the latest trends in trade and cross-sector cooperation between Warsaw and New Delhi, with particular emphasis on scientific and technological collaboration, as well as on defining the directions and mechanisms for deepening these ties. Only coordinated action by the Polish state, following the example of other European partners, can help mitigate the significant asymmetry in scale and capacity between the two countries, while also allowing Poland to make the most of the current momentum in EU\u2013India relations and of this particular stage in India\u2019s development \u2013 as the world\u2019s most populous country. Building an ecosystem for research and technological cooperation that translates Poland\u2019s key long-term strategic interests into concrete action, while taking advantage of the current political momentum, is within our reach. <\/p>

The opening of the seminar was attended by representatives of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network \u2013 Vice-President prof. Jolanta Itrich-Drabarek <\/a> as well as Prof. Rafa\u0142 \u0141ukasik, Director of the Department of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation, along with representatives of the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies<\/a> and the University of Warsaw\u2019s Centre for Europe<\/a>. H.E. Neeta Bhushan, Ambassador of India to Poland, delivered the opening remarks. <\/p>

Director Micha\u0142 Matlak<\/a> is taking part in the first plenary session, alongside Prof. Adam Burakowski<\/a> \u2013 a non-resident fellow at \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 ITECH and former Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to India \u2013 Dr Wojciech Karczewski, Director of NAWA, and Micha\u0142 Fijo\u0142, President of LOT Polish Airlines.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
