The strength of countries and the resilience of economies today is largely determined by technology – artificial intelligence, cyber security, critical infrastructure, the space sector or dual-use solutions.<\/strong> <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

These were the issues that were the focus of discussion at the working breakfast held as part of the Strategic Ark conference, titled “The Future of the Strategic Ark”. <\/span>“Co-creating Strategic Autonomy: India, Poland and the EU as Def-Tech Partners.”<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The event took place on May 13, 2026 in Warsaw and was organized by the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM)<\/a> and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF)<\/a>. The meeting brought together representatives of public administration, the expert community, the technology sector and business from Poland, India and the European Union. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The conference was attended by, among others, Wladyslaw Bartoszewski<\/a>, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Michal Baranowski<\/a>, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology, Neeta Bhushan<\/a>, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Poland, Samir Saran,<\/a> President of Observer Research Foundation, as well as representatives of the European External Action Service, the Polish Space Agency and expert and industry organizations from Europe and India.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Lukasiewicz – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology was represented by Institute Director Dr. Michal Matlak<\/a>, who emphasized during his speech: <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

“The new development model cannot be built solely in the European context. Asia, and especially India, must play an important role in it – both as a partner and in some areas also as a model. On many issues, Poland and India share a view of the international order, so this cooperation is not only necessary, but even essential.” <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

Director Matlak also announced Lukasiewicz – ITECH’s efforts to deepen Polish-Indian cooperation, including the launch of an Asia program with a strong Indian component. The program is to include strategic reports, seminars and building cooperation between Polish technological institutes and Asian partners. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>

The presence of \u0141ukasiewicz – ITECH at the Strategic Ark conference is part of the Institute’s role as a think tank operating at the intersection of technology, economy and public policies, and actively participating in the international debate on the future of technology and innovation cooperation. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
