Lukasiewicz – ITECH participated in the “Road to URC – Security and Defense Dimension”<\/a> conference held in Rzeszow. The Institute was represented by Director Dr. Michal Matlak<\/a>, leading a panel discussion on the role of modern technologies in the process of rebuilding Ukraine. <\/strong><\/p>

The panel titled “Investment in modern technologies as a driving force for the reconstruction and economic growth of Ukraine in Central Europe” brought together representatives from the world of science, administration and public institutions, including:– Jerzy Lis, Rector of the Stanis\u0142aw Staszic University of Science and Technology in Krakow– Mariin Ratnik, Undersecretary of State for Economic and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia – Jaroslaw S\u0119p, Vice Rector for Development and Cooperation at the Ignacy \u0141ukasiewicz Rzesz\u00f3w University of Technology – Mariin Ratnik. Economic and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia– Jaroslaw Sep, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation of Ignacy Lukasiewicz Rzeszow University of Technology– Viktor Pavlushchyk, Chairman of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The discussion confirmed the growing importance of the links between security, the reconstruction of Ukraine and the development of dual-use technologies, which are becoming one of the key areas of contemporary political and research debate.<\/p>

The conclusions of the panel are consistent with the recommendations contained in the report “Barriers to the development of dual-use technology in Poland,” prepared by \u0141ukasiewicz – ITECH in cooperation with the Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. The analyses indicate that Poland has significant technological potential, but its full utilization requires strengthening coordination of activities, building predictable public demand and creating effective mechanisms for transferring research results for implementation. <\/strong><\/p>
