we tell about our hydrogen education project “POPH2. Know More!”, aimed primarily at teachers and students and the general public interested in green technologies.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

(…) Investment in hydrogen education is a strategic investment in the future of the Polish economy. Public acceptance of the technology may prove to be a key factor in the implementation of hydrogen technology. This will help build a long-term competitive advantage for Polish companies, as well as increase the pace of the energy transition. We must also remember to allow the public to build informed civic and consumer attitudes related to hydrogen technologies,” says Joanna Grudowska<\/a>, project coordinator. <\/p>\n\n

Our project is distinguished from other educational initiatives by its interdisciplinary approach. As part of it, we have developed: lesson plans for teachers and educators, supplementary materials (information brochures and infographics), lectures by Polish scientists and experts in video form, explaining selected issues. <\/p>\n\n

As Dr. Katarzyna Iwinska<\/a>, project expert, points out:(…) The key is cooperation between scientists, educators, entrepreneurs and local communities. Certainly, such partnerships can ensure high quality and greater educational effectiveness. Currently in Poland, interest in the topic of energy transition is quite low, and the need for knowledge is growing. Our recent surveys show that Poles still rarely associate hydrogen with energy, somewhat more often with fuel for hydrogen cars and buses. <\/p>\n\n

Implementation period: 01.12.23-31.12.24<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The aim of the “poph2society” project is to increase awareness and spread knowledge ofhydrogen technologies across a broad cross-section of social groups and regions in Poland, and to lay the groundwork for socially responsible development of these technologies. Hydrogen technologies and the hydrogen economy are at an early stage of development and implementation, but as the Polish experience with nuclear power or shale gas shows, social acceptance of the technology may prove to be a key factor in implementing the technology into the socio-economic fabric. <\/p>\n\n
