March 4, 2025. – Research Network Lukasiewicz – ITECH Institute of Innovation and Technology organized a nationwide online workshop entitled. “Supporting SMEs in preparing for ESG reporting”. The purpose of the event was to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with the necessary knowledge and practical tips for reporting in the area of sustainable transformation. <\/strong><\/p>

The event brought together a wide range of experts who shared their knowledge and experiences during four thematic sessions, analyzing key information from the point of view of usefulness for businesses facing the challenge of reporting on sustainable transformation. Discussions were devoted to the challenges and opportunities of implementing sustainability principles in 3 sectors of the economy: construction, waste and chemicals and cosmetics. <\/div>

The workshop program included four panels:<\/div>
1 ESG in Practice:<\/strong> A Guide to ESG for SMEs<\/strong>
The introductory panel, moderated by Emilia Pawlikowska, Ph.D. (coordinator of the “Science of Sustainability for Small and Medium Enterprises” project at \u0141ukasiewicz – ITECH), introduced participants to the latest publication of the “Guide to ESG for ESG Companies”, developed by \u0141ukasiewicz – ITECH in cooperation with a wide range of experts. <\/div>
Participants in the discussion were Dr. Agnieszka Oleksyn-Wajda (legal counsel, director of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Environment at Lazarski University), Marta Biernacka (Polish ESG Association), Anna Kowalik (CRIF Poland) and Dominika Bagi\u0144ska-Chy\u0142ek (ROBYG S.A. & Vantage).<\/div>

2 Sustainability in Construction: Challenges and Opportunities for SMEs<\/strong>
Moderated by Joanna Dargiewicz-Ro\u017cek (Polish ESG Association), a panel featuring Katarzyna Laskawiec (\u0141ukasiewicz – Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials), Dariusz Prymon (Chief Legal Officer, Intelligent Technologies S.A.) and Micha\u0142 Brzeminski (Head of Green Transformation, Respect Energy).<\/div>

3 The recycling and waste industry in light of new requirements. GOZ practices in small and medium-sized companies <\/strong>
Marta Biernacka (Polish ESG Association) moderated the discussion on the closed loop economy (GOZ), which included Marta Kukowska (ESG consulting manager, CSRinfo), Rafal Sta\u015bkiewicz (product manager, Ekovoltis) and Leszek Majewski (Center for New Technologies in Construction, \u0141ukasiewicz – Warsaw Institute of Technology).<\/div>

4 Sustainability in the chemical and cosmetics industry. How can SMEs adapt to ESG? <\/strong>
The last panel, moderated by Dr. Katarzyna Jodko-Pi\u00f3recka (head of the Regulatory and Technological Challenges Department at \u0141ukasiewicz -ITECH), dealt with the chemical and cosmetic industries.
