On Wednesday, November 26, Lukasiewicz – ITECH hosted a delegation of representatives of higher education and science entities from Ukraine. The visit was held within the framework of the Polish Research Landscape program, organized by the Representative Office of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Kyiv. Its purpose was to exchange experience and discuss opportunities for scientific and technological cooperation between our institutions. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The guests were welcomed by Dr. Michal Matlak<\/strong>, director of Lukasiewicz – ITECH. He began his speech by introducing the guests to the activities of the \u0141ukasiewicz Research Network. <\/strong>He went on to present the activities of our institute, pointing out our key research competencies and areas in which we carry out projects of great importance to the economy and public administration. He emphasized our experience in application projects and openness to international cooperation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

1. <\/strong>Poland’s technological sovereignty – presentation by Dr. Piotr Lewandowski <\/strong><\/h4>

As part of the presentation, our expert presented the results of the project on Poland’s technological sovereignty<\/strong>. He also discussed the analysis of critical and strategic technologies, the developed Index of Technological Sovereignty<\/strong>, as well as the impact of the information environment – including disinformation – on the technological security of the country. He also presented conclusions on the potential of dual-use technologies and the main barriers hindering their development in Poland – indicating areas where cooperation with Ukrainian partners in strategic analysis and technological security is possible. <\/p>

2. <\/strong>Social aspects of technological development – presentation by Joanna Grudowska.<\/strong><\/h4>

In her presentation, our researcher referred to the activities of the Social Innovation Department<\/strong>, including research on the social aspects of the energy transition, initiatives related to public health and the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) concept – including the functioning of living labs. She also presented projects based on social research (quantitative and qualitative) – which identify the needs, concerns and expectations of residents towards the transformation processes. The results of these studies support the design of public policies in line with the real needs of society. <\/p>

3. <\/strong>Polish innovation ecosystem – presentation by Andrzej Jarz\u0105bek<\/strong><\/h4>

Our researcher’s presentation began with a summary of the position of the Polish innovation system<\/strong> compared to the European Union. As part of the speech, Andrzej Jarz\u0105bek presented the strengths and weaknesses of the national ecosystem, key structural challenges and recommendations for the future. He also presented a map of institutions supporting innovation, the main investment mechanisms and financing models for R&D projects. The presentation was complemented by the identification of leading Polish innovation centers and a discussion of their role in the national R&D ecosystem. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
