How to manage innovation in Poland, or an analysis of technological trends in the latest scientific publication by our researchers

In an era of dynamic technological changes, identifying and analyzing key trends is becoming essential for the sustainable development of the Polish economy. Which technological directions are of particular importance for the prosperity of the domestic industry, not only currently, but also in a broader perspective? How to effectively manage innovations to support this development? In the latest publication entitled “Innovation governance in Poland. Technological trends with an outlook to 2030”, the Łukasiewicz – ITECH research team: Dr. Piotr Lewandowski, Joanna Grudowska and Dominik Zieliński, conducted an analysis of technological trends, providing tools for better understanding and managing innovations. The analysis took into account both national policy and the specificity of individual sectors.

Main conclusions from the conducted analysis:

  1. The Polish economy needs systematic identification and analysis of technological trends in order to be able to respond in a timely manner to changing market conditions and to take advantage of new development opportunities.
  2. The Polish economy requires strategic innovation management, where interventions at the national level are necessary. This can significantly improve the efficiency of innovation sector management in Poland.
  3. There is a need for Polish enterprises to adapt to global trends, challenges and technological opportunities. Polish industry must urgently adapt to megatrends such as digitalization and sustainable development in order to maintain its competitiveness.
